Nonsurgical injectable treatment to reduce fine lines and wrinkles

Botox injections work by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves. The effects last about three to twelve months, depending on what you are treating. The most common side effects are pain, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. You could also have flu-like symptoms, headache, and upset stomach. Injections in the face may also cause temporary drooping eyelids. You should not use Botox if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Blood is drawn the same way as any blood test. The blood is then spun in a centrifuge, separating the components, leaving the plasma full of platelets at the top to retrieve from the tube. The plasma is then placed in another tube with calcium chloride, which produces the fibrin matrix. The plasma rich with fibrin is then used for the treatment of choice (micro-needling, scalp injections, or skin injections). This fibrin matrix releases growth factors over a sustained period of time, helping rejuvenate cellular production, resulting in smoother skin, even tone, collagen production, and hair growth.
