Beauty Rule, formerly known as The Beauty Collective, offers eyelash extension training and certification to licensed beauty professionals. Owner Cheri, and master lash guru Rachel, have over 20 combined years of experience with eyelash extensions. Cheri ran two eyelash extension boutiques, Lash Boutique, in New York City, and The Beauty Collective (Beauty Rule) in Portland, Oregon until her location in New York was sold in 2014.
Cheri opened one of the first lash studio’s solely devoted to lash extensions in New York City and was the most sought after eyelash technician in New York from 2006-2014. Rachel was one of Cheri’s first trainees where she mentored Rachel until she became Beauty Rule's Master Lash Technician. See both of their bio's here. Cheri and Rachel have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things lashes. They both instruct trainees with professionalism, passion, and excitement. If you are interested in learning the art of eyelash extensions, Cheri and Rachel are two of the most qualified mentors. Classes are available monthly at Beauty Rule in NE Portland.

Starter Kit
Beauty Rule requires that the starter kit be included in your cost of your training. This kit contains all of the essentials that you will need to apply eyelashes to a client. You will learn the proper way to use everything in the kit during your course. If you already own some or all of the materials, feel free to use your own, however, if they are not the proper tools, you will be required to use the ones supplied in your starter kit. It's important to learn with best products and tools available on the market.

Courses Offered
Group Training
Beauty Rule Classic eyelash extension training course is a one day, six hour workshop with only 6 students per class. Each class will have the two trainers Cheri and Rachel.
Group Trainings are $1350 per student (which includes the cost of kit). We require a 50% deposit to hold your spot ($675).
Individual Training
Beauty Rule does offer one-on-one individual classic eyelash training as a one day, six hour class with either Cheri or Rachel (depending on their availability). This class offers the best value, as you will have your instructor's undivided attention for the duration of the workshop.
One-on-one classes are $1550 (which includes the cost of the kit). We require a 50% deposit to hold your spot ($775).
On-Location Training
If you have a group of four beauty industry professionals and would like to have the classic eyelash extension course taught at your spa/location, our trainers Cheri and Rachel can come to you. An additional travel fee is required and will be decided based on your location. Classes cost $2000 per trainee, plus the travel fee (this cost includes training kit for each student). We require a 50% deposit to hold your spot ($1000).
Class Information
Classes are from 10:00am-6:00pm. Breakfast included. Please come to class with no eyelash extensions as you will be a model for another student. Each student will pair with each other for the practice of your individual lash extension time.

State Regulations
State licensing requirements for the application of eyelash extensions may vary from state to state. It is important that you research the requirements for your specific state and comply with all laws regarding the application of eyelash extensions. Since eyelash extensions are still considered new-ish to the United States, you may not find a specific reference to “lash extensions” or “eyelash extensions” written exactly in the statute codes. However, some states may provide a definition that would include eyelash extensions, such as, “applying eyelashes to a person”. Please note that many states require an Esthetician’s License to be able to offer this service.
Cancellation Policy
Should you fail to give us notice of cancellation more than seven (7) days prior to your training date, Beauty Rule will retain 50% of the total fee collected. If you cancel your scheduled training within one (1) to seven (7) days prior to your training date, we will not refund any of the training fees. If you do not reschedule more than seven (7) days prior to a training date, it will be considered a cancellation. You may not reschedule within one (1) to seven (7) days prior to your scheduled training date. If you do not attend your scheduled training course and have not rescheduled you will be considered a no-show and no portion of your fees for training will be refunded.
